   Good points in your “8 vital reasons.” Thanks. Good to have them organized as you did.
   HUGE opportunity missed: “Training” is “company push.”
   Last-century practice, becoming a Dodo bird. (Tim Hoff should know that, or be reminded.)
   “Learning” is “personal pull,” figuring out what you need to know, building and pursuing your own learning plan (beginning in third grade says Dr. William D. Hitt (1929–1998, 11 books, great thought leader).
   “Individual / personal / self- learning plans” are the new wave and the new way.
   Sympatico with ALL 8 of your reasons.
   Somebody’s going to write about “Living a Life of Learning: Reasons, Tools, Resources” — or some such title.
   Hey, maybe I’ll do it.
